March, 2016 – Willow River, MN – On Sunday, March 13, from 12:00pm – 4:00pm, nonprofit One Heartland will be hosting its first annual “Party With Heart” fundraiser at Doc’s Sports Bar and Grill in Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota. With its camp facility located in Willow River, One Heartland looks forward to the opportunity to strengthen its ties to the local community and have a fun and fulfilling afternoon. The event will feature a silent auction, raffle, bake sale, and more, with prizes from local sponsors and friends of One Heartland. Bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun and heart, all in support of sending kids in need to camp.
“We’re excited to get out into the community and share our love of camp with the people who help make it great,” said Jill Rudolph, One Heartland’s Camp Director. “This should be a really fun event with something for everyone! Please stop by and learn a little about our camp, but more importantly have a great time! We’re extremely grateful to Doc’s for hosting us in their beautiful space.”
About One Heartland:
One Heartland runs several camp programs for youth affected by serious illness or socially isolating conditions. Camps focus on building a positive community and provide a safe and stigma-free place for its participants to express their true identities. Camp activities include canoeing, fishing, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, talent shows, and more. Education sessions on topics relevant to the communities served are also provided.
