Medical Staff (Club Meds)
Medical Staff oversee the health and safety of all campers and staff. They are responsible for performing health screenings of all incoming campers and staff, dispensing medications, and maintaining accurate health logs and records as legal documents. They perform first aid as necessary and appropriate, respond to emergencies, and ensure general health and safety throughout camp. for short term applicants (e.g. one week).
A license to practice nursing or higher level medical license is required for short-term applicants (e.g. one week of the summer), but nursing students and EMTs who can commit to the full summer are also encouraged to apply. All applicants should be organized, have great attention to detail, and enjoy interacting with children.
Dependent on qualifications ($1000/week for licensed professionals), plus room and board. This position is open to short-term applicants.
Camper Care Coordinator (Social Work/Mental Health Professional)
The Camper Care Coordinator serves as the lead professional in determining appropriate responses to all camper and staff issues related to physical, emotional, spiritual, healthy-safety and well-being, including but not limited to: anxiety, behavior management, interpersonal disputes, homesickness, hygiene, and previously diagnosed disorders. They will assist camp staff with challenging camper situations and provide ongoing support to staff to respond to campers behavioral, emotional and mental health needs, documenting all relevant interactions. They work to ensure the positive resolution for any and all issues that may arise during the camp season, with the expectation of providing campers and staff with meaningful and critical guidance to make healthy, responsible, and respectful choices.
A license in Social Work or mental health profession is preferred, but those with extensive prior experience, or students in a related field, are also encouraged to apply.
Dependent on qualifications and experience, includes room and board.
