Students

One Heartland realizes the value and importance of student support – in fact, our founder and now CEO, Neil Willenson was a student when he began Camp Heartland in 1993.Students have a powerful impact on their communities and are incredible ambassadors of the cause. There are several ways a student can get involved in One Heartland.Find the area that interests you and contact us today to find out how you can help!

Students for One Heartland: Start or join a SFOH group at your school.  You will work with us to do fundraising, raise awareness, host a Journey of Hope AIDS Awareness event, or any other goals your group might make.

Camp Heartland & Birch Family Camp Counselors: Apply to be a part of the summer volunteer group at Camp Heartland in Minnesota or California or Birch Family Camp in New York. This is the most direct and hands-on way to get involved and have a lasting impact on children and families living with HIV/AIDS.

Dance Your Heart Out: Sign up as a dancer, volunteer or morale at our yearly dance marathon. It is a great way to interact with kids from camp and see what we’re all about while raising money for our programs.Visit www.danceyourheartout.org

Alternative Spring Breaks (ASB): Sign up with a group of friends or classmates and come volunteer at camp during a break from school.
